Over ten million people have downloaded Peggle from the internet since its introduction in March of this year, and this enormous success prompted PopCap Games, the leading developer and publisher of casual games, to accelerate development of the iPod version.

Peggle utilizes the iPod’s clickwheel and sharp high-resolution display, and also offers players the ability to listen to their own personal music playlists while enjoying the game.

All 55 levels from the original game are included, with 10 magical powers and 75 Grand Master challenges. You can also take on a friend using the Duel Mode.

In Peggle, You’re placed in charge of a cannon located at the top of the screen, and tasked with removing anything red from a collection of pegs and/or blocks that are scattered across a flat, single screen playfield. The cannon shoots one ball at a time, and if you run out of balls before you run out of red items to shoot, you lose. If you clear all the red items, regardless of whatever else is left on the screen, you move on to the next stage.

If you need a primer, Peggle involves firing a silver ball around the screen knocking into orange pegs. There are various power-ups to collect, including lobster claws.
